Drawing "Уживање" featured on the book's cover "Le Plaisir effacé. Clitoris et pensée" by Catherine Malabou

Launch of the Macedonian translation of the book Erased Pleasure: The Clitoris and Thought by Catherine Malabou, which will take place on April 7, 2026, at 7:00 PM at FRANZ, Skopje.

Catherine Malabou is one of the most influential contemporary philosophers. Her research and writing engage with a wide range of thinkers and themes, from Hegel and Freud to Heidegger and Derrida, as well as questions at the intersection of philosophy, neuroscience, and psychoanalysis. Central to her work is the concept of plasticity, which she develops from Hegel and which has proven particularly fruitful within contemporary economic, political, and social discourse. She is currently exploring the common ground of anti-teleological tendencies in philosophy, politics, and biology.

The book will be presented through a conversation between artist Hristina Ivanoska, author of the drawing Уживање / Enjoyment (2025), featured on the book’s cover and among its interior illustrations, queer theorist Slavcho Dimitrov, and the book’s editor, Manja Velichkovska. The discussion will be moderated by Jana Kocevska, editor of the Vagina Dentata series.

The book was translated from French into Macedonian by Darko Leitner-Stojanov. Proofreading was done by Violeta Tancheva-Zlateva, while the design and technical editing of the edition were carried out by Marija Smilevska.

As part of the Vagina Dentata series, Malabou’s book builds on the broader commitment of Tiiiit! Inc. to creating space for literary and theoretical texts that approach questions of the body, sexuality, and women’s experience in a radically different way—free from shame and shaped by a clear political and cultural awareness.
